Pumza Shabangu

Pumza Shabangu is a Lecturer under the Department of Higher Education CET sector and apublished author.

She has five published books under her belt, Unspoken Truth, Ravaged Souls, Strum My Pain, Strumlet and Something About You and working on a 6^th novel Chains That Bind to be released in February 2024. She has also worked as a contributor in one of Niq Mhlongo’s published anthology of short stories, Hauntings.

She writes contemporary romance and not afraid to push the boundaries and addressing pertinent social issues. She would like to think her art is the conscience for society. It begins necessary conversations in the spaces we occupy. She hopes to inspire change and empathy.

Pumza is also an avid reader and a member of a growing book club Between The Covers which has made a positive impact in the reading space.
