Ishmael Beah is a Sierra Leonean-American bestselling author, producer, and conflict resolution expert. His memoir A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier (2017), a #1 New York Times bestseller, has been translated into over 40 languages. His novels, Radiance of Tomorrow (2014) and Little Family (2020), explore resilience, postwar recovery, and human connection. Beah, who has worked globally to promote peace, is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Cape Town. His forthcoming memoir, continuing the story of A Long Way Gone, will be published in 2025.
