Jeffrey Rakabe
Jeffrey Rakabe is a writer from the Lebowa region of Limpopo, now based in Johannesburg. Rakabe’s memoir, Led by Shepherds (2025), cronicles his journey from a brutal initiation ritual to the liberating world of books drives his powerful exploration of tradition, misogyny, and gender-based violence in South Africa. He holds a Diploma in Art and Drama from Tshwane University of Technology.
