Bobo Lukhele

Bobo Lukhele the author of the Siswati children’s book Lunga na Mlingo (2025). She is also a news editor and passionate literary activist committed to promoting a love of reading. Taught to read at age five by her mother, a school principal, Bobo became a fierce advocate for literacy. She is the founder of BookHive, an NPO that runs reading programmes, donates books, forms school book clubs, and has established libraries at Masihambisane and Thandulwazi Primary Schools in Kanyamazane, Mpumalanga. Bobo also founded the Ingcayizivele Book Festival to spotlight local and indigenous writers, and the Tinganekwane Festival, which celebrates storytelling in her mother tongue.
