Sihle Mthembu

Sihle Qwabe was born in a small village in KwaZulu-Natal and now lives in Johannesburg. In 2021, he participated in the Jakes Gerwel Foundation’s writing mentorship programme. He published his debut novel, The Resurrection (2023), which was longlisted for the Sunday Times Fiction Award in 2024, the same year he won the K. Sello Duiker Memorial Literary Award. The Resurrection is a thrilling tale revolving around a young man’s struggle to uncover the truth and confront hidden dangers. Qwabe holds a diploma in Public Relations.
