Muntomuhle Mcambi

Muntomuhle Mcambi is a seasoned author, editor, and publisher based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. With over 15 years of experience in isiZulu literature, he is dedicated to preserving and promoting indigenous languages through writing, publishing, and mentorship. As the founder of Iziko Art Company, Mcambi collaborates with communities and the eThekwini Municipality to collect isiZulu and other indigenous language stories, supporting creative writing and cultural heritage. He has edited over 40 books, including Impande Yothando and Ezosiba Volume 3, which won the 2024 University of Johannesburg, Best Editor Award for isiZulu debut works. Known for his radio productions on Ukhozi FM, Mcambi also leads workshops and mentorship programmes through the Iziko Art International Book Fair, nurturing the next generation of Zulu writers. Guided by Ubuntu and Africanism, he is a key figure in the development and sustainability of indigenous literature.
